The
Farm lies high on the southern edge
of the North York Moors in the North
of England. At an altitude of 650ft
above sea level, this must be one
of the highest organic farms in the
country.
Approximately half of the farm lies
on sandy loam soils over yellow sand
and limestone, and the remainder on
black peaty soils over sandstone.
Our first organic crops were grown
here in 1980 and the conversion of
the whole farm to Soil Association
Organic Standard was achieved in 1992. |
